In the heart of our journey is Rudolfo Valentino García, the original “Güero,” whose name and initials (RVG) now define everything we stand for. Decades ago, Rudolfo ran a small convenience store that became famous not just for everyday essentials, but for the irresistible tacos he would serve to loyal locals. His recipes—steeped in tradition, flavor, and love—quickly caught on, and it wasn’t long before the tacos became the true star of the show.
As demand grew, so did our business. Twelve years ago, we expanded into a full-service grocery and meat market to better serve the community. But fate—and the insatiable hunger of our customers—had even bigger plans. Eight years ago, we made a bold and transformative decision: to focus entirely on what we do best—serving unforgettable tacos and authentic Mexican dishes. That choice turned RVG Tacos del Güero into the thriving, full-fledged restaurant you know and love today.
